Netflix wanted to announce their new show Stranger Things in a big way. So, we decided to bring it to life at the Stranger Things Premiere in Los Angeles. We set up a paranormal interview room, a magic mirror, and flipped the outside upside down to prank the cast members and influencers. These were their reactions.

This was student work, but still one of my favorite projects I have done.
Our assignment: Make a statement about America. Yes, it was that vague.
After some research, I narrowed in on how US surveillance is harming freedom of the press in America. I wanted to focus on how journalists are being almost criminalized when it comes to them trying to obtain information to report the truth. Some say they have been made to feel like spies and it is harder to obtain info because their sources also fear getting in trouble. Those sources end up refusing to talk on the phone, or online, where they are potentially under surveillance.
The result: A campaign of evidence bags containing the "property of journalists" and the stories of how they have been under surveillance &/or how their property was confiscated.
